Ryan Gosling

Ryan Gosling (Ryan Thomas Gosling, born November 12, 1980) is a Canadian actor, director, and musician. He is known for his diverse roles in independent films and mainstream blockbusters, having won a Golden Globe Award and been nominated for three Academy Awards.

Gosling began his acting career at a young age, joining the Disney Channel's The All-New Mickey Mouse Club (1993–1995) at age 12, followed by appearances in the TV series Breaker High (1997–1998) and Young Hercules (1998–1999). In 2001, he garnered acclaim for his role as a Jewish neo-Nazi in the independent film The Believer. He gained widespread recognition in 2004 for starring in the romantic drama The Notebook. His performance in Half Nelson (2006) earned him an Academy Award nomination for Best Actor.

In the early 2010s, Gosling appeared in several highly praised films, including Blue Valentine (2010), Crazy, Stupid, Love (2011), Drive (2011), and The Ides of March (2011). His directorial debut, Lost River, was screened at the Cannes Film Festival in 2014. In 2016, he won the Golden Globe for Best Actor and received another Oscar nomination for his role in La La Land. In 2017, he starred in the sci-fi film Blade Runner 2049. In 2023, he portrayed Ken in Barbie, earning an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor.

Gosling is also a musician; he formed the band Dead Man's Bones with Zach Shields in 2009, releasing a self-titled album. He engages in philanthropic activities, supporting organizations such as PETA and Invisible Children. He has been in a relationship with actress Eva Mendes since 2011, and they have two daughters.
